Samsung has expanded the rollout of its highly anticipated One UI 7 update for the popular Galaxy A53 smartphone. After debuting in South Korea three days ago, the 3.5GB update is now available for users in the UK, with additional countries expected to receive the upgrade in the coming days.
The One UI 7 update can be identified by the version number A536BXXUEFYE2. Galaxy A53 owners can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install.
This marks the Galaxy A53’s third major operating system upgrade, following previous updates that helped keep this mid-range device competitive. Samsung is also planning to release the final major update, Android 16 with One UI 8, later in 2025.
Looking ahead, the Galaxy A53 may receive a further update to One UI 8.5 next year, but feature updates will cease after that. The device will continue to receive security patches for about one year, after which software support will officially end.
