Oppo has officially launched the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro smartphones in China, ushering in a new design direction and flagship-level features. The series features flat displays, MediaTek Dimensity 8-series processors, enhanced AI integration through Google Gemini, and advanced camera capabilities. The global rollout, including India, is scheduled to begin in July 2025.
Both devices feature a flat 1.5K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The Reno 14 has a 6.59-inch panel, while the Reno 14 Pro sports a larger 6.83-inch screen. Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass and IP66/68/69 ratings ensure durability against drops and exposure.
Under the hood, the Reno 14 is powered by the Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Reno 14 Pro uses the more capable Dimensity 8450. Both are paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, delivering exceptional performance for demanding tasks and gaming.
The camera systems on both models include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens (upgraded to 50MP on the Pro), and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. A 50MP front camera supports 4K@60fps video, making the phones ideal for vlogging and selfies.
Battery-wise, the Reno 14 packs a 6000mAh cell, while the Pro model includes a 6200mAh unit. Both phones support 80W wired charging, and the Pro version also includes 50W wireless fast charging for added convenience.
One of the highlights is Google Gemini AI integration in ColorOS 15, based on Android 15. The AI assistant is accessible via the side button and enhances the user experience by enabling smart calendar entries, real-time summaries, image editing, and more via AI Editor 2.0, AI Flash Photography, and AI Eraser tools.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 2,799 (~₹33,200) for the Reno 14 and CNY 3,499 (~₹41,500) for the Reno 14 Pro. India pricing is expected to follow similar tiers when the series launches in July.
