On May 31 that Microsoft has officially released the stable version of Microsoft Edge 137, introducing significant enhancements focused on user control and content management. The standout feature in this update is the improved picture-in-picture (PiP) playback, which now supports not only play and pause but also fast forward, rewind, and a detailed playback progress bar for better media navigation.

Another key addition is the new Web Content Filtering function designed for enterprise users. This feature enables companies to block millions of inappropriate websites by selecting specific categories tailored to their organizational policies. Microsoft commits to daily updates of filtering rules and blocking lists to maintain effective and timely content moderation.
To streamline the browsing experience, Microsoft has removed several components including Image Editor, Image Hover Menu, Mini Menu, Video Super Resolution, and Wallet Hub. Notably, payment data and personal information previously stored in Wallet Hub are now migrated to the browser’s password manager, with detailed guidance available on Microsoft’s support site.
The Edge 137 update further integrates productivity tools by adding page summaries and contextual query support within Microsoft 365 Copilot Business Chat. Additionally, the “Find on Page” functionality is now embedded into the Copilot chat window, enhancing search capabilities for business users working within Microsoft Edge.
