Dutch tech outlet Galaxy Club has revealed detailed battery specifications for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The data sheds light on a long-awaited battery upgrade in Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup.
The Galaxy Tab S11—bearing model numbers SM-X730 and SM-X736B—will reportedly maintain the same battery specs as its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S9. The internal battery model EB-BX736ABY features a rated capacity of 8,160mAh, with a final declared typical capacity of 8,400mAh, offering no changes in terms of power endurance for the base model.
However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra finally breaks a three-generation battery capacity freeze. Its battery model, EB-BX936ABY, has a rated capacity of 11,374mAh, marking an improvement of nearly 500mAh over the 10,880mAh rated capacity found in the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The typical capacity of the Tab S10 Ultra was 11,200mAh, and analysts speculate that the Tab S11 Ultra could see a nominal battery value close to 11,700mAh, or potentially even reach 12,000mAh.
This increase is particularly notable given that the Ultra series’ battery specifications have remained static since the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Samsung appears to be pushing boundaries once again, addressing user demands for better endurance in productivity and media-heavy usage scenarios.
As anticipation builds around the official announcement of the Galaxy Tab S11 series, this battery enhancement in the Ultra model is a promising development, especially for power users and tablet enthusiasts.
