Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G Listed on Google Play Console with Key Specs Ahead of Launch

Chinese smartphone maker Tecno is generating buzz with its upcoming Pova 7 series, as the latest device Pova 7 Pro 5G has now surfaced on the Google Play Console database. The listing has provided a glimpse of key specifications for the model number LJ8, which is the 12GB RAM variant of the device.

According to the Google Play Console entry, the Pova 7 Pro 5G runs Android 15 out of the box and is powered by the MediaTek MT6878 processor. This chipset features an octa-core CPU with 4x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.50 GHz and 4x ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2.00 GHz, paired with an ARM Mali-G615 GPU running at 1047 MHz. The device sports a high-resolution display of 1224 x 2720 pixels with a screen density of 480 xxhdpi.

Additional recent benchmarks on Geekbench confirm the processor to be MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300/7300X, making it a powerful contender in its segment.

Pova Curve 5G and Pova 7 Series Launches

Besides the Pova 7 Pro 5G, Tecno’s Pova Curve 5G (model LJ8K) also appeared on the Google Play Console. This device is scheduled for launch in India on May 29, 2025.

The complete Pova 7 lineup will include several models:

• Pova 7 4G (LJ6)
• Pova 7 Neo (LJ6)
• Pova 7 5G (LJ7)
• Pova 7 Pro+ 5G (LJ9)

All these devices have received EEC certification, signaling a broad rollout soon. Notably, the Pova 7 Neo was also spotted on Google Play Console a few days earlier.

With these launches, Tecno aims to strengthen its presence in the mid-range smartphone market in India and beyond.
