HONOR has officially launched its HONOR 400 series smartphones in China, introducing significant upgrades in performance and battery capacity compared to the global models. The HONOR 400 and HONOR 400 Pro both sport a sleek metal frame and 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED flat display with an incredible HDR peak brightness of 5000 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming for superior eye comfort.
One of the standout changes is the chipset configuration. The standard HONOR 400 is the first device globally to use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, while the HONOR 400 Pro retains flagship-level performance with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Both phones come with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and run MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15.
Despite the upgraded internals, the camera hardware remains familiar. Both models feature a 200MP main camera with OIS+EIS stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide lens with macro support, and a 50MP front-facing selfie camera capable of 4K video. The HONOR 400 Pro adds a 50MP 3x telephoto lens using the Sony IMX856 sensor, supporting up to 50x digital zoom, while the base HONOR 400 supports 30x zoom via its main sensor.
Battery life gets a substantial upgrade with a 7200mAh silicon-carbon battery. The HONOR 400 supports 80W fast charging, while the HONOR 400 Pro steps it up with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, ensuring minimal downtime even for power users.
Both models are IP68 and IP69 certified, making them exceptionally resistant to water and dust. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
