Apple is preparing something extraordinary for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company is working on a special edition iPhone featuring a groundbreaking design with a fully integrated glass body and display on all sides. This futuristic device will allow users to view information and interact with touch inputs from any angle, including the sides and back of the phone.
The special edition iPhone, tentatively referred to as the iPhone XX (20th Anniversary Edition), marks Apple’s first major curved design since 2020. The innovation follows Apple’s tradition of celebrating milestones with bold redesigns—similar to the launch of the iPhone X during the 10th anniversary, which introduced the first edge-to-edge OLED display without a home button.
